According to an August 29, 2008 article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Acorn is involved in an investigation into voter fraud in Milwaukee. As of the date of the article 49 registration workers had been reported to the Milwaukee County Assistant District Attorney for investigation.
Among the means of fraud in this investigation workers are suspected of filling out cards with false drivers license numbers, false social security numbers, cards for people who had already done their own, cards for deceased people, and breaking the state law of offerings gifts to voters.
